NIKE AIR TRAINER 1. Tribute Poster

A personal project based on the iconic Nike Air Trainer 1, the first-ever ‘cross-training’ sneaker’. The artwork is also a tribute to the legendary tennis player Andre Agassi.

“Few Nike sneakers are regarded as highly as the Air Trainer. And, in terms of historical relevance, few sneakers better capture Nike’s early DNA.
Andre Agassi blazed a trail during the late-80s and 90s thanks to his unmatched charisma and on-court stezz.
The ‘Las Vegas Kid’ started his career sporting a pair of ‘chloros’, and he (and John Mc Enroe) gave the Trainer 1 it’s true attitude.
Designed by Tinker Hatfield as the first-ever ‘cross-training’ sneaker, the Air Trainer 1 has seen countless iterations since it’s initial release in 1987”.
